Where are you spending the 4th?

We’re a military family, so Independence Day is the time to celebrate our freedom! We always barbecue with family and friends and, of course, catch a local fireworks show.

What will you be wearing?

We keep it pretty casual, so I always love a great pair of jean shorts. I’ll add a lightweight tank and a button-down shirt for an easy layer, especially after the sun goes down.

What are your summer go-to pieces?

Because summers in Utah can be pretty hot, I’m always looking for new dresses. Navy is a classic color I can dress up or down depending on my accessories and shoes — and dresses are perfect for a date night! Kimonos are another great layering item I keep stocked in my closet. They’re so lightweight, you don’t even realize they’re on.

Where are you spending the 4th?

My husband and I are tent camping and fishing at the lake.

What will you be wearing?

I want be comfortable and festive so I’ll bring an Americana teeterry shorts, and foot bed sandals. When it gets chillier in the evening, I’ll switch to a camo pulloverboyfriend jean shorts and slip-on sneakers for s’mores around the campfire.

How will you live in the moment?

We all are always “go go go” with a busy agenda back home. I want to slow down and take in each and every memory with my husband and laugh with him while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

What are your summer go-to pieces?

Jean shorts and 24/7 tees are a must! They can be dressed up or down and are perfect for ALL occasions! Graphic tees are such a fun option to show your personality.

What will you be wearing?

I’m going for details and prints. Plaids and animal prints are fun and versatile! Add a vest for an eye-catching look!

Which styles would you recommend for a weekend trip?

24/7 tops and jean shorts are perfect for a day of sight seeing, then tie a tee over a 24/7 dress and add cute wedges — you’re set for an evening out!

Where are you spending the 4th?

I’m staying in my hometown of Murray, Kentucky to visit with family and friends. We usually have a BBQ on our pontoon boat before watching the fireworks show at Kenlake Marina. They shoot them over the water and the view is something magical!

What will you be wearing?

Comfy, casual clothes since we will be in the heat most of the time. I usually bring a graphic tee and a pair sneakers for a casual look. But I make sure I have a 24/7 dress and lightweight kimono in case we decide to go out to eat somewhere. Here’s a tip: Tie a knot on the inside of your dress using an elastic hairband to create a more fitted silhouette and dressy ruching!

What are your summer go-to pieces?

I love our 24/7 dresses, pretty bralettes and kimonosFloral and animal prints are must-haves this season, too. Don’t forget to half tuck your top into your waistband to add style detail!

How will you live in the moment?

I’ll put my phone away! Get your photos to commemorate whatever fun event you’re attending but after that spend your time making authentic human connections.
