Our friend Stephanie shows us her fashion DNA of “cool confidence.” She’s a ballerina-turned-blogger, who writes at her site The Style Bungalow. A great night in her town starts at a sea breezy sidewalk café, then keeps going and going. We love how she rocks our summer whites.
I’ve been very fortunate to call West Palm Beach “home” for nearly 10 years now! I moved here when I was 19 years old from Texas to dance for a ballet company and never looked back. With sunny skies, nearly perfect weather year-round and the beach five minutes away from my home, West Palm Beach is the perfect small town. Think palm-lined streets, charming old buildings, beautiful blue beaches, quaint boutiques and historic neighborhoods. Nowadays, I prefer to go to dinner or brunch with my girlfriends on the weekends. There are so many great restaurants, particularly on Clematis Street in Downtown West Palm Beach, in Northwood Village and on Palm Beach Island.
A fun evening with my girlfriends calls for a cute dress and simple accessories. I love this one because it’s print is beachy and shape is easy – both of which are ideal for dinner here! It’s also the type of dress you could wear with gladiator flats and a hat. Or, over a bathing suit on a beach day! If you’re looking to dance the night away, nothing tops the bars and nightclubs located on Clematis Street. Places like Camelot offer great music until the wee hours of the night. A dress like this one could easily transition from dinner to dancing.
Fortunately, not every place in West Palm Beach requires you to dress up! I think it’s a coastal thing. Restaurants like Hullabaloo, Avocado Grill and Bradley’s in Downtown West Palm Beach are pretty laid-back; the types of places you can wear sandals to. On Sundays, they offer a great brunch! And after brunch, an after-party complete with a DJ and dancing for the rest of the day! A lightweight top and denim mini are perfect for dashing in and out of brunch spots on a hot Florida day. Both are stylish yet practical. Plus, you could easily dress this look up with nicer shoes and a clutch once the sun goes down. Whether going to dinner, dancing or grabbing brunch on Sunday, going out in West Palm Beach is a must-do activity! The second you visit, you’ll see there’s no shortage of options! Xo, Stephanie
