What to wear for the Holidays

December is finally here—and so is the fully booked calendar of holiday parties, wrapping up holiday shopping, and of course a handful of those cherished cozy mornings and nights. And nothing makes the season brighter than checking off your very own what to wear for the holidays list with head-turning fashion tips from our style stars at Duluth Moms Blog. All made even more beautiful with photos by Along and Inland Sea.

HOW TO STYLE COZY DAYS IN

‘Tis the season for staying in your jammies with steamy mugs of coffee in hand, trees lit up in lights, and of course snow softly drifting outside your window. And nothing says cozy quite like comfy pj pants, loungy tunic and gold-flecked moccasins or cute festive socks. For extra warmth, throw on a beanie (perfect for those bed head days), pour yourself another cup of coffee and cue the classic Christmas tunes.

HOW TO RUN ERRANDS IN STYLE

Can we all agree that wrapping up holiday shopping is just not what it used to be? Unless of course, you’re looking great and feeling as comfortable as can be. And this layered look is the perfect addition to rotate with the rest of my holiday outfits. The flowing sweater dress  with floral print chiffon bottom is the perfect layering pieces over a pair of leggings (and the stretch of these leggings makes my post baby love so happy). To beat the chill, add a pop of olive (or red) with this jacket, a chunky scarf and the perfect boots that seamlessly take you from skating rink to shopping date at the mall without sacrificing style.

HOW TO DRESS UP FOR THE COCKTAIL PARTY

Whether you RSVP’d yes to a work party or cocktail party, a wrap front jumpsuit with lace is the perfect go-to piece if you’re not feeling like a dress. This look is not only classy, but also flattering on my postpartum body and nursing friendly—a win-win for new moms. Finish the look with a little arm bling, statement earrings and fun glittery heels.
